Is it ok to stop by one of the Fire Stations to visit?: Most definitely, particularly the station that protects your home and safety. If we are out when you come by, check back with us as we may be on an emergency.

2. What codes do the Fire Department utilize?: The Bixby Fire Marshal’s office references, NFPA, International Building Code, International Fire Code, and Life Safety as standards on inspections. To schedule an inspection, contact the Fire Marshal’s office at 918-366-0436

3. Will Bixby Fire Department assists me in the installation of my child safety?: Yes, contact your nearest Fire Station to ensure a technician is on duty.

4. Is it ok to burn discarded material in my yard?: No, it is illegal to burn discarded material (refuge, trash) on you property.

5. When should I change the batteries in my smoke detectors?: Every 6 months, a good way to remember is to change them out at every time change.

6. Whom do I contact for a Station tour?: Complete a Request for Station Tour Form and a representative will contact you about making an appointment.

9. Will the Fire Department help me after I locked my keys in my car?: The Bixby Fire Department no longer unlocks motor vehicles for citizens unless an EMERGENCY is involved. An example of emergency situation would be a child or animal locked in a vehicle.
