Vegetation Management Program

The City will be expanding the Vegetation Management Program.  The pilot program initiated at Lake Bixhoma utilizes city-owned livestock to clear vegetation along the shoreline and on the dam. This cost-effective approach to clear weeds and brush as well as maintain grassed areas will also be piloted for use along City drainage canals.  The goal of the new program will be to determine the effectiveness (cost and operational) using livestock to maintain other properties owned and maintained by the City.
