Fireworks Display in a dark skyPermits are required to legally discharge fireworks in Bixby.

The use of Class 1.4G fireworks may be legally discharged within the Bixby city limits only by homeowners who have secured a permit to do so, on days listed on the permit, between the hours of 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 pm, as described more fully in the FAQ. Permits are required to legally discharge fireworks in city limits.

Permits cost $20.00, and are available starting June 14th at City Hall 116 W. Needles, between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Normal Business Hours) Monday – Friday. City Hall will be closed Tuesday, July 4th. 

Participating retailers will be selling residential Firework Discharge permits for $20.00. The fine for discharging fireworks within the Bixby city limits without a permit is $350.00.

The permitted days for 2023 are:

  • Saturday, July 1st | 3 pm – 11 pm 
  • Sunday, July 2nd | 3 pm– 11 pm
  • Monday, July 3rd | 3 pm – 11 pm
  • Tuesday, July 4th | 3 pm – 11 pm

Permit holders please assist the City of Bixby’s First Responders by ensuring all roadways are easily accessible and are not blocked, in the event we need to respond to any emergencies in your subdivision. Please make every attempt to have permits visible and accessible for police and fire officials as we try to ensure everyone has a permit and has been briefed on the safety requirements, so that all may enjoy a great Fourth of July.
